At Rite Idler, we prioritize bearing protection and long-term reliability in every design. Our advanced sealing system features seven distinct components—four seals between the bearing and the roll end, and three between the bearing and the roll’s interior—making it one of the most robust systems in the industry. Unlike “sealed-for-life” bearings that contain minimal grease and offer limited protection, we use open-faced ball bearings—pressure-injected with high-quality grease to completely fill the cavity. This approach delivers up to 10–15 times the lubrication volume, superior contamination resistance, and dramatically extended service life—all backed by precision Canadian manufacturing.

Precision-Machined End-Caps and Shafts

End caps are stamped and the bearing assembly pocket is precision machined to provide an interference fit with the bearing. This fit eliminates metal fragments that would otherwise result from fretting that is common with other manufacturer’s roll and the inevitable bearing contamination and the failures that follows.

Superior Multi-Seal Protection System

Our innovative sealing system incorporates a seven-component design, including three grease-filled rear seals and four outer seals. This comprehensive approach dramatically reduces contamination risks from both internal rust and external debris.

Grease-Filled Bearing Assembly

Rite Idler bearings feature fully grease-filled cavities, providing 10 to 15 times more lubrication than traditional "sealed-for-life" bearings, greatly extending operational life and reducing maintenance.

Composite Hollow Shaft Design

Rolls above 13” utilize a hollow composite shaft design, offering superior strength and less deflection compared to solid shafts. This design also reduces roll weight, facilitating easier installation and handling.

Specialty Threaded Shaft Ends

Internally threaded shaft ends allow for customizable bolt-in solutions, enabling our rolls to fit seamlessly into virtually any conveyor frame, regardless of manufacturer or original equipment design.

Retractable Idler Frames

Removable End Brackets

Frames equipped with removable end brackets provide an economical solution for roll maintenance, allowing quick and easy replacement of wing rolls without disturbing the conveyor belt, further reducing maintenance times.

Inverted "V" and 3-Roll Return Tracking Systems

Rite Idler's unique Inverted "V" system provides exceptional belt tracking without moving parts prone to failure. Additionally, our innovative 3-roll return idler doubles bearing capacity, reduces spare inventory needs, and effectively combats belt tracking issues and material carry-back.

Idler Replacement Rolls

Each roller shaft is drilled and tapped on both ends, allowing us to install custom-machined shaft ends
without the need for adaptors. This ensures every replacement roll matches the original manufacturer’s dimensions exactly.
